Partner with Project Managers to help plan estimates/timelines of projects, to ensure ETL development team has sufficient requirements to create efficient and accurate designs and meet deliverable dates, and to create/enhance EDW methodology to facilitate quick and efficient delivery of accurate data to the business. Work with ETL Designers, Business Analysts, and Data Modelers to develop accurate and efficient table level rules that meet business requirements, provide for efficient loading, and are flexible enough to allow for future data enhancements with minimal rework. Identify inefficiencies in our methodology, and provide guidance on how to improve our processes to increase value, minimize costs, and reduce time to delivery. Guide DBA's to identify poorly performing queries, help with query performance tuning, analyze query patterns to facilitate creation of indexing and partitioning strategies, ensure Teradata runs efficiently and SLA's are met. Remain up to date on current Teradata product enhancements. Identify enhancements that will provide cost efficient benefits to our customers or resolve ongoing issues. | ||||
